Staying Warm

It was COLD this weekend.  We stayed warm and cozy inside.  All of us.  Ahem.  Even Arthur.  

Arthur is primarily an outside dog. He likes being outside.  Except when it's 20.

He just looooves when the kids have snacks.  Ben leaves a trail of Cheerios wherever he goes, so they're a good team.

Avery and I had a real tea party.  She was a bigger fan of the cookies than the tea, though.  When it was over the plate of cookies was empty (I had one cookie) but her cup of tea was full.

The kids spent a lot of time making huge messes amusing themselves.

Avery and I did head out to shop with Mimi for a bit.  When the OSU game started that evening, she went back to the office and came out a bit later with this.

What can we say?  She feels ways about things.

On Sunday we hit up the children's museum.  This might be a regular winter pastime for us. 

Before going home we stopped at the store to get stuff for stew.  The kids had too much fun in the cart.  

Gigi and Pepaw came over for dinner and we wrapped up a pretty nice weekend!

Avery's Day

Anniversary Trip

Rob and I enjoyed a nice weekend away in Kansas City on a belated anniversary trip.  It was great to get away, although of course we missed the kids.

I'm not sure they missed us too much, though.  Avery was happy to see us and promptly asked if she could live at Mimi's house.  Ben can't express himself that concisely yet but if he could I'm sure he'd share the sentiment.  Also, add Arthur to the list-judging by the pictures of him lounging on Gigi & Pepaw's patio furniture.

We are so thankful to have the opportunity to get away for a couple days and have our charges in such good hands.

Happy Monday

These kids.  

Ben has been much happier since we got some medicine to clear up his sinus infection.

The kids had pictures at school, individual and together.  

Hopefully the  photographer had better luck getting a picture of the two of them than I normally do.

They may not sit still but they do have fun together.

Saturday we went to my co-worker's for dinner.  They both made friends.

This is a normal morning scene on the weekends.  Avery goes into Ben's room, throws toys in his crib, and reads to him.

We enjoyed a super nice Sunday with lunch at Mimi's and playing outside.
