Ben 6 Months

Ben was 6 months old on Saturday and we had his checkup on Monday.

His stats:

15 lbs 6 oz-13th %
26 inches-33rd %
17.5 head circumference-69th %

He's still a little-ahem-top heavy.  But he's catching up to it.
Happily getting checked (pre-shots)

December was a big month for Benny.  Not too long after he turned 5 months old we started introducing solids.  Over the past month he has tried a variety of foods-apples, pears, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, avocado-and seems to like everything so far.  He is doing well with eating with a spoon although he probably only consumes a couple of tablespoons per feeding.  We have only been giving him solids once a day (in the evening) but starting today I'm going to send some with him to daycare.  Ben also got his first taste of formula this month.  He usually gets around a bottle every day or every other day.  I just bought a box of MumMums (rice crackers) and he really seems to like those.

In the past two weeks both of his bottom teeth have popped through.

Ben had his first Christmas.

Between Christmas and New Year's he had rsv.  He was still pretty happy but we definitely had some sleepless nights.  He seems to be on the very tail end of it now.

He's finally big enough to play in his jumperoo.  He actually really likes it and will play in it for upwards of 20 minutes (that's forever in baby time).

He likes to sit in the Bumbo.  He loves to watch Avery.  He is so happy and smiley.  He LOVES to be carried around.

He reaches for and grabs anything he can get his hands on.

He rolls over-sometimes.

Sleep. Ugh. Today is not a good day to talk to me about Ben's sleep schedule.

Overall Ben is the happiest, sweetest little guy.  It is very hard to believe he is already 6 months old.  It seems like we just brought him home from the hospital.  We love him so much and can't wait to to see him grow and change even more.  I just wish time would slow down a little bit.
